Bears Family Temple Day

My sister and her family had their special day this past Saturday and we were blessed to be a part of it. Tiff and Allen took out their temple endowments, were sealed together and then had their sweet family sealed to them. They did all this in the Logan Temple. They asked Randy and I to be their escorts through the temple that day and it was so incredible to be there sharing such a special day with them. I spent a lot of time that day thinking of our sealing day three years ago and remembering the spirit I felt and the covenants we made. We are so blessed to have eternal families.

Of course we failed to take many pictures but did take this picture at the open house afterwards. Aren't they a sweet family?

Family Update

I haven't posted much the last few weeks, it seems like we have been so busy and I haven't had as much computer time. Almost everyday after school we either have kid's activities or lots of homework so we're busy, busy until bed time.

ZMan has lots of homework this year. There are family projects, reports, study guides for tests, poems to memorize along with the nightly homework of spelling, math and reading. He only averages about 2 nights a week to play with friends after school which seems so unfair. I know ZMan deserves more play time but there is school work to do so there isn't much time. He has been doing really well in piano and seems to be enjoying it. I get him up every morning at 7:00am to practice for half an hour before we get ready for school. I have to fight to wake him up but he doesn't fight much on practicing, although he would rather be sleeping a little longer. There are only a few more weeks of soccer for the fall season so when it's over that will give us a little more time for homework and playing.

Princess Izzybee is loving Kindermusik and gymnastics. Luckily her second grade homework isn't as much as her brother's fourth grade homework so she does have a little more free time. Since she doesn't have any play friends on our street I just have to remember to arrange playdates for her in advance and she is happy.

The Doodle is talking and talking. We can't understand everything she says but we are understanding more. She loves to sing and even sings in church when it's not singing time. The other night she led our music for Family Night and sang I Am A Child of God with us knowing many of the words. She no longer calls herself "Me" she has started saying "AuHee" and it's so cute.

Randy has been keeping busy with the front yard in his spare time. We still have a pile of top soil on the street in front of our house. He has been moving the rock layer in front to dig out the weeds and then he'll have to move them back and fill the area with the top soil. The grass still looks great and the progress on the yard is looking good. He has been looking for trees and shrubs that he will plant soon.

I am at week 28 in my pregnancy so we are approaching the final few months. My due date is January 4th and I'm still hoping and praying I go early, before Christmas. Poor Randy has to deal with my emotional outbursts and I've been having hand and arm numbing and pain which is supposed to be pregnancy related. I've never had the numbing and pain before so it's frustrating as it keeps me up at night and there are times I can hardly write or do simple things with my hands. I just keep hoping it goes away once this baby is born. The baby is super active and loves to move and kick when I am trying to sleep.

Our family has been busy but we have been very blessed. I'm so grateful for my kids and wonderful husband.

We have grass!!

Randy has spent the last few weeks working on our front yard, pulling weeds, laying edging around the yard and putting mulch and top soil down. Yesterday Tiff and Allen came down from Logan to help Randy in the yard digging up the yucky dirt and putting down top soil. They were also going to move a bunch of big rock around and position them in the front of the yard. On their way home from the dump a neighbor pulled Randy over and offered him their extra sod so of course Randy accepted it and now we have grass. It makes a huge difference in the yard and it looks great. I can't wait for it all to be completed, Randy even plans on having a waterfall in the right corner by our front door. I'm so happy with the progress and Randy's hard work.
