Water Day

Yesterday my kids had a fun water day. Tammy was nice enough to think of our family and invited us to swing by for slip-n-slide and lunch at her house. The kids had a blast and of course didni't want to leave when it was time for Zachary's speech appointment. They played with other kids and had fun in the water.
For several months now our pool has been drained for retitling and brick work. It has been the forever job and so frustrating. The contractor just comes and goes as he pleases so it has taken so long. Randy hasn't been completely happy with the work that has been done. While we were playing at Tammy's house Randy came home from work to clean out the pool so we could start filling it. It took him all afternoon and after Zachary's baseball game Randy put 2 hoses in the pool and started filling it. The kids decided to put the swimsuits on and swim in the freezing water and had a good time. Actually with 2 hoses going the pool was full today by mid-morning. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed that the heater will work without any problems so we can have the pool heated by the 4th of July for a pool party.
My kids have tried to be patient while the pool was under repair so they are happy that they can start swimming everyday. I'm not sure I'm as excited as they are, but they will have fun.
I talked to Tiffany last night and she had some exciting, good news. YAY!!

Lagoon Day

Today we went to Lagoon with my sister Kris and her family and my sister Tiffany and her family. We tried to get there by 10:00am when the park opened but we didn't get there until about 10:30am. The adults and older kids were trying to get on the busy rides before the lines were to long. I hung out with the kids in Kiddie Land for a while and then we met up with the others. The others took Zachary and Sarah on rides while I sat with Audrey. It was so hot and so crowded but we all had a ton of fun.

Yesterday we went with Kris and her kids to Lagoon A Beach and the kids had a blast on the water slides. We have had two busy days in the sun and I am tired.

Baseball

Zachary had his second baseball game Thursday and I remembered the camera. He did good. His first hit he was out at first but I was excited to see him hit. He played catcher and loved it. I practiced with him once this week but I have to admitt I am pretty bad at baseball so I don't know if I am much help.

Monday Madness

Randy went into work this morning so I am working from home. In some ways it's easier to be in the office to get some things done but today it's nice to do it from home while I also work on laundry and bake some cookies.
We don't have anything planned from today. I may run into the office for a short time and take the kids with me but I have a low tire and need Randy to fix it before I go anywhere. If he is unable to leave work to fix my tire I'll just hang out at home. If my tire gets fixed I would also like to go to the library with the kids.
When the kids are finished eating we will work on their Summer Bridge program and read. My goal is to do this 5 days a week with the kids and so far we have done pretty good.
Audrey hasn't been nursing very well since Saturday. On Saturday she tried to bite me a couple of times so I firmly told her "NO". Since then she has not been interested in nursing. Isn't that weird? It's like I hurt her feelings or something. She did nurse a tiny bit last night and a tiny bit this morning. I have been thinking about weaning her but maybe she is weaning me and it's painful.

Family Update

Baseball season has started for Zachary. His first games were this past week but we were not here for them. He has a practice tomorrow and we will be here for the remainder of his games through the middle of July.

Sarah has advanced to the next level in gymnastics. I think I will keep her going through the summer. In the fall she will start soccer for the first time.

Audrey is 7 months and still doens't have hair. She is so sweet and cute. Any day now she will be crawling.

Tuesday we drove to Steamboat Springs to visit Katie, Rodney and Mariah. We pulled in early, early this morning. It was such a fun visit and I think Randy wants to move there. It was incredibly green and pretty. The kids went to swimming the the hot springs pool while Mariah had her swimming lessons both days. We spent a lot of time at the Alpine Slide which the kids loved. Yesterday Katie and I went down and I was super slow. Katie liked it so much she went again with all the kids. We also spent some time at an activity area that had bumper cars, minature golf and a maze with water guns. This was also a big hit with the kids. We didn't want to come home and Mariah begged for the kids to be able to stay with her. When we left she had the saddest face ever. It was fun and a bummer to have to come back to work today.

Finally Friday

My kids have been gone for a week with Grandma Curtis. They came home last night. I thought I would get so much done around the house without them here but that didn't happen. Life was a little easier with one baby then all three kids but I am so happy to have them home.

This morning we have already done our Summer Bridge and readind for the day. They are ready to go play but we need to run a few errands first. We are just waiting for Audrey to wake up. After we run errands I told the kids they could play and I am hoping to finish up 2 loads of laundry and tackle the Family Room in the basement.

Nothing to exciting is going on today so maybe I will also catch up on some reading. The kids asked for spaghetti for dinner which is easy enough.
