Finally Friday

I took some St. Patrick's Day pictures of the kids last week.

Today was Randy's birthday. Lucky for him he had the best birthday present ever; family pictures. Ha! We had them scheduled last month but due to a super cold day we rescheduled them and it ended being for today. I was so sure we would have to cancel due to weather; it rained and snowed throughout the day. The photographer, Melissa, and I crossed wires and tried to cancel but never actually spoke directly with each other so I got everyone ready and prayed for sun and we went to our designated meeting place. Melissa only lived a few minutes away so when we arrived and she wasn't there I called her and she was there in five minutes and I think we got a good photo shoot. She was great with the kids and the old house was great. I'm just hoping there will be a family shot with all the kids looking at the camera and attempting a smile.

Randy decided to make a quick trip to St. George to take a bed down to his mom's house so I'm supposed to be packing to get us ready. We are leaving early in the morning and coming home Sunday so it's quick.

I've had sick kids throughout the week. Some stomach bug which ZMan and the Doodle have had, I even took them to KidsCare Wednesday night. They took a strep test since both of their throats were a little red. Tonight they called and said ZMan was positive for strep and the Doodle's test wasn't completed yet. ZMan still has some stomach issues but nothing I would associate with strep throat. It's been a weird week.

We survived the many practices and one game this week. Next week gets more interesting as we are double booked and I'm sure it will happen a few more times throughout our Spring season. So far the kids are having fun.

Happy, Happy Birthday Randy

All I want for Easter are my 2 front teeth....

Last summer Princess Izzybee fell on the sidewalk and knocked out her front tooth. The dentist said it would be a while before the tooth grew in on it's own. Early this morning her other front tooth came out on it's own. Isnt' she cute?

The Doodle and the Pink Bear

A few weeks ago Randy bought Princess Izzybee this huge pink bear named Pinky. The Doodle had kinda adopted it as hers and I captured these pictures the other day.

Friday Family Update

Spring is almost here so we begin our crazy sports schedule. I'm so glad the baby was born in December, it would be awful to have to juggle and run all over with a tiny newborn.

ZMan started soccer and baseball this past week. The two sports conflict for awhile so some days it's a challenge. We have our soccer practice and game schedule so now I'm waiting on the baseball schedule. Yesterday he had soccer practice and baseball practice plus it was soooo cold. Tomorrow he is attending a baseball camp that he is excited about. ZMan is still taking piano lessons and is doing good; he practices every morning before school from 7:00am to 7:30am.

Princess Izzybee is in gymnastics and loving it. With the weather getting nicer she loves to be outside on the grass doing flips and handstands. I signed her up for girl's softball and she's excited to give it a try. I'm hoping she has a good experience and it's something she likes. She has her first practice tomorrow afternoon. Once I get her schedule I'll see how crazy our afternoons will be for a few months. As long as the kids are having fun and happy....... Princess Izzybee is also doing Kindermusik and this term she has been learning to play the recorder and they are staring basic piano. I'm hoping to start her in piano in the fall.

The Doodle keeps me busy during the day. She loves to read books and play games on her gameboy (a hand-me-down from ZMan) and the computer. Lately she has had multiple meltdowns daily (so fun for me). Part of the meltdowns are due to my not being able to understand what she is trying to say the other I attribute to age, her very strong personality and a new baby in our family. The Doodle knows what she wants and does not do well when she doesn't get what she wants. I called the Family Enrichment Center and am waiting for them to test her speech.

I'm enjoying Baby Ru so much. What a sweetheart and she's just so huggable and cute. There are times the kids are all wanting to hold her and play with her. The kids can't seem to get enough of her and I just love when I can hold her and rock without other interruptions. Baby Ru is smiling and interacting with us and she has discovered her fists.

The family can't wait until it's warm enough to open the pool.

Animal Fair for Princess Izzybee

Posted by Picasa
Princess Izzybee had her Animal Fair today. The students had to pick three animals to research and gather facts on. Princess Izzybee choose to research Dolphins, Tigers and Sharks. After learning about the animals she had to write a sloppy copy (rough draft) for each animal. Each student had to choose one of their three animals and display it today during the animal fair. Princess Izzybee choose a dolphin so we bought that soft clay and spent Tuesday evening making a dolphin. Today each student read their report aloud on the one animal they chose to display. Princess Izzybee did a good job at reading her report to the class and parents and her dolphin turned out cute (if I do say so myself).
