Saturday Stuff

Last night I met my sisters in Sandy for Gage's double header. It was freezing cold and windy and I finally had to retreat to the car with the baby. Luckily I came prepared with gloves, hats and coats. By the time the games were over and we had dinner we didn't leave the valley until 9:00pm and had a 2 hour drive. My book on my iPod was excellent so I was able to stay awake (since I had been up since 4:00am). We reached my sister's house at 11:00pm very tired and ready for bed and a busy Saturday.
Z went to a baseball camp this morning that my sister was in charge of. He had a great time and luckily the weather was a little better than yesterday. I guess Z's glove is too small so we need to get him a new one.
After the Baseball Camp we rushed to change and go to the nursing home to celebrate my Grandma Mary's 90 something birthday. I saw many of my aunts and uncles and cousins I haven't seen in a long time. We had fun and although my grandma doesn't recognize any of us it was good to see her. We got together for dinner at my sister's house after the birthday party.

Easter

I tried to get pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits but I didn't do a great job. We were running late for church so we didn't venture outside and the lighting inside wasn't great. A wouldn't let us take her binkie out or she cried.

We had a nice Easter yesterday. The kids were happy with the Easter presents and the weather was so wonderful that after church they played outside most of the evening. Patty's family joined us for dinner and it was yummy and of course we all ate to much.

Patty and her kids came down Friday afternoon and the kids are decorated Easter Eggs. We colored six dozen eggs.

Wednesday Wishes March 19th

I weighed in at my WW meeting and I was happy to have lost a little more weight. I was worried with my weekend away from home (I made some bad food choices even though I tried really hard to stick to my points, I didn't). We had a good meeting with many journaling reminders for me. For the last few weeks I have kept track of my food on the eTools online tracker which is great but since I'm not home all the time I should still food journal in my little journal just to make sure I don't miss anything. I have not been good about counting the BLT's so I will do better at that as well.

My goals for this week are:

Keep track of everything going into my mouth
Stay within my points
Not eat after 7:00pm
Exercise 5 days

Monitoring Yourself

Tonight at my Weight Watcher Meeting we discussed monitoring yourself. What you do rightWhat you need to modifyWhat worksWhat doesn'tPuts you in chargeJouranling is important:
  • Increases your accuracy (The palest ink is better than the best memory)
  • Provides clarity and resolution
  • Reminds you of your goals
  • Motivates you
  • Your journal needs to be your constant companion
  • Write it down immediately
  • Remember the B.L.T.'s (Bites, Licks and Tastes)
  • Be Honest
  • Study your journal at the end of the week.
  • Look for triggers
  • Look for successes
  • Change your criteria periodically

Tales of Tuesday

I was so excited today because Enchanted came out of DVD. When we saw this at the theater last year I absolutely loved it. I just thought it was the cutest movies and S and I were so excited to be able to watch it whenever we wanted. My plans this morning were to run to the store after I got the kids off to school and purchase the movie. R sneaked off just as the kids were leaving for school and bought and surprised me with it and we watched it this morning. Now S and her firend are watching it.

The kids' spring soccer starts this week and S has her first game tonight. She is excited. Luckily Z's team has a bye this week but next week begins our busy life after school of games and other activities. Z is also going to be doing baseball which I think will interfere with soccer so I'm hoping it's not to tricky.

I'm trying to clean the house this afternoon and catch up on laundry. The kids are out of school on Friday and Monday and I don't want to worry about the house and do something fun. What are your plans for Easter?

Saturday Stuff

Patty came over yesterday afternoon and we visited for a bit and then loaded the kids up and went to IKEA. We had talked about going since I had never been there and was interested. I've heard Patty and Brian rave about IKEA and I know a lot of other peopel who really like this store. The play area was full at first so we had dinner until we could drop the kids off then we started shopping. I have to admitt I felt a bit overwhelmed by the store. It was so huge and there were so many things. Every display had price tags hanging from every item and it was difficult for me to just enjoy the display. Patty was looking for a few specific things and I bought a few kitchen things. I was trying to decide of R would like this store or not. He's not much of a shopper but there are good deals there. One day I will have to take him.

This past Thursday was Z's last day with his speech pathologist. He has been seeing her for 4 years so it was a sad visit when it was over. Z started with speech therapy through the county just after he turned 2 and we started him in private therapy when he was about 3 with a great lady who moved and then we've been with Barbara ever since. Lately in therapy we have been working on grammer, not speech. He had grammer problems due to his speech and Barbara feels that he is finally doing good enough that he doens't need her anymore. Many of the grammer things he is working on in school and I believe that as we continue reading he will continue to do better with his grammer plus just in everyday speaking. Barbara has been so good to him and made speech fun so I know he will miss her.

I've got to start getting ready for the day so we can head down home to see my sisters for the weekend.

Finally Friday

I can't believe Easter is a week away. I need to finish up my Easter shopping and plan our Easter menu.

Last night I joined my sister Tiffany's family and Dad and Denise at Red Lobster for dinner. It was a last minute thing and the kids were excited to see Sam, Danni and of course baby Rocky. Dinner was yummy, I didn't order my absolute favorite meal, I stuck with a healthier choice.

This afternoon Patty is coming down for a visit. I'm hoping to clean my house a little before she comes, but between work and stuff it may be a mess when she gets here. I guess she's seen it messy before so it's not a big deal. My floors need scrubbed and I'm not sure I will get to it.

Tiffany was headed to Emery County to stay with my other sister Kris for the weekend. I wish they had had room in their van for S, she would have had fun with Danni for a few days. I will go down with the kids tomorrow morning. Z hasd Cub Scouts after school and they are going to a reclying place and will be gone longer than normal. I'll just pack tonight and leave once we are up and ready in the morning. The kids are excited to play with their cousins.

Next weekend is Spring Break for the kids so I'm excited for at least 2 no school days.

We can go camping this summer

The week before last R was able to sell our monster huge camping trailer. He was bummed because he thought he sold it for to low. We didn't lose money, we paid for the trailer and our California trip so I'm fine. I think R wanted to make a bunch of money. Last week he bought a new trailer in Wyoming. It's only an 18 foot trailer so it's tiny compared to our last trailer. R said we can try it out and if we think it's to small we'll sell it and get another one. Friday R drove to Wyoming to pick up our new trailer.

R has already started planning our camping trips for the summer. Some friends invited us to go on a couples weekend 4-wheeling trip in May. It is a 25 mile ride in so 25 miles back out. They say it's really fun and I know R really wants to go. We need to find someone to watch our kids. The same friends also invited us to go camping with them over Memorial Weekend. I've done it before with S but I'm looking ahead to camping with my 16 month old and I'm dreading it. I'm just dreading the mess she will be and make, but camping with our family will be fun. We sold our trailer last year in the spring so we didn't camp all summer and we really do enjoy it.

Saturday Stuff

We drove up to Logan yesterday after school to visit Tiffany and finally see Rocky. He is so stinkin cute. Rocky is so chubby and he was really red. I can't believe how fast our babies grow, 16 months ago A was that tiny. S has been bragging all day today that she got to hold Rocky 3 times.

Z had a baseball camp today that was put on by the Bountiful Baseball team. He went with his friend and they had a good time. Luckily they missed our rain and snow storm. After the camp he came home and sold Scout-a-rama tickets to people in our ward. He sold the tickets in the rain and was so gung ho to sell.

S had a princess birthday party that she attended. The invitation requested she dress as her favorite princess and come with her hair down and it would be styled at the party. When I picked her up she looked gorgoues! Her hair was done in this beautiful upsweep. She came home and whirled and twirled around the house and wouldn't change until bed time.

Tonight Dad and Denise came over for dinner. We had a nice visit and yummy soup. I tried a WW dessert that was okay but not great (the texture was different). I'm glad we were able to spend some time with them.

Now I need to get off the computer and get to bed so I can have a productive day tomorrow. The USA network has had a NCIS marathon today so I've had my favorite show on all day.
