91st Birthday

Friday night I drove to Price and stayed so we could go to Grandma Mary's 91st birthday on Saturday. The kids and I stayed with Tiffany Friday night. Of course the kids had tons of fun playing with Sammi and Danni. We spent Saturday letting the kids play and haning out with dad for lunch in the afternoon. We left dad's late so we made it to the nursing home in Ferron a little late for the party. It was good to see Uncle Dodd, Aunt Connie, Tyler, Tracy and her son Adam, Aunt Tov and Uncle Lynden. I didn't even recognize Grandma Mary. It has been a long time since I have seen her. She's down to 92 pounds so she is so skinny and frail looking. She didn't know who any of us were. I'm gald I was able to go to get a few pictures of her with the kids.

Family Day

We had a fun day off yesterday. Z went to school for the first few hours. I met with his speech pathologist, teacher and principle for his IEP and then I volunteered in his classroom. Afterwards I withdrew him from school. S had her first ice skating lesson yesterday. She spent about 20 minutes on the ice and had a fun time. Her teacher is Holly, the same teacher Z had when he took skating lessons.

After I pulled Z from school and after S's skating lesson we drove up to Logan to meet Tiffany, Allen, Sam and Danni. They were spending a few days in Logan checking it out for their move there in June. We had lunch and the Bluebird Cafe which was a cute historic cafe and I ordered a Lime Freeze. It was yummy! After lunch we went to Celebrations and the kids played inside in the soft play area, rode the carousal, played video games and minature golf. They had so much fun. When they finally tired of all the playing we attempted to go bowling but the bowling alley was booked for the night so we went to a local pizza place for dinner. With full tummies we stopped by Tiffany's hotel and changed the kids into their PJ's and drove home. They were asleep within 5 minutes. They enjoyed spending the day with their cousins and it was great to have a family day.

We Made It!

We made it to church this morning. We were a little late, but we made it nonetheless.

The Relief Society lesson was on prayer which touched my spirit. I have not been consistant with our family prayers and I vowed today to be better. I also challenged myself to work on my personal prayers. No matter how busy life gets there is no excuse to not pray and not teach my children to pray.

I spent Sunday School in the lobby with fussy A. She was so tired and just fought sleep. It seems like the last few weeks I wake her up to get her dressed and in her carseat so she is so tired during church. I think I need to nurse her and dress her when she wakes up and hopefully when the family is ready she won't wake up when I put her in her carseat. I'll get it right one of these days.

I am hoping to catch a nap this afternoon and work on laundry. My house could use some cleaning as well.

Daylight Savings

I've never blogged so I'm going to give this a try.

Tonight is daylight savings and I am dreading it. How am I going to get myself and the 3 kids ready for church and be on time? We lose an hour of sleep so instead of getting up at 6:00am it's really going to be 5:00am. It's going to be a challenge, wish me luck.
