We always go to our church patriotic service to start our 4th of July holiday. There was a flag ceremony and talk about patriotism with a light breakfast. From the church we headed to the parade route to save our space and patiently wait for the the parade to start and the jets from HAFB to fly over. This year we missed the jets, I'm not sure what happened. The parade was fun and the kids got lots and lots of candy. We came home had a BBQ and swimming with Tiff's family and Patty. It was nice to visit and eats lots of food. When it was finally dark, Brian and the kids did fireworks in the street in front of our house.
