Santa's Favortie Candy Cane & Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped candy canes
Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, add vanilla and peppermint extracts. Combine the dry ingredients and stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the chocolate chips and candy cane.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
